Our History
The History of Dracolite Through the Years
2001-2006
Founded in 2003, but active since 2001, Dracolite initially focused on creating jewelry inspired by medieval style. Success was immediate: its creations quickly found their way into some fifty retail outlets worldwide.
Starting from a small workshop, the company quickly evolved into a workshop-boutique to meet growing demand. Products from local artisans gradually enriched the offerings and enhanced the customer experience.
In 2005, a leather workshop was added to the jewelry and accessories. At the same time, the first clothing creations also emerged, marking a new stage in Dracolite's development.
2007-2013
In 2007, Dracolite acquired a nearly 6,000 square foot building spread over two floors on the famous Plaza St-Hubert in Montreal. A major turning point began: the brand gradually moved away from distribution to focus on its flagship store.
The following year, the acquisition of the company Épopée marked a key step, allowing Dracolite to locally produce its own clothing collections.
2014-2016
Thirteen years later, in 2014, Dracolite has established itself as an undeniable reference in the field of medieval creations. The company continues its mission to showcase the talent of local artisans, enriching a unique and authentic offering.
At the same time, Dracolite is expanding its international presence, exporting its medieval creations to many countries and sharing its passion far beyond borders.
2017-2020
In January 2017, our designer launched her own company, Maison de couture signée Véronique Lortie. Located literally next door, it now allows clients to meet with the stylists at any time for custom projects or simply to discover new creations.
2017-2020
Wishing to take advantage of the space of the former Salon de la noblesse, Dracolite is creating L'Échoppe des Aventuriers (The Adventurers' Shop), an extension dedicated to Live Action Role-Playing. This new space aims to be a true stopover for all those in search of adventure, offering a place for discovery and preparation for any quest, with products inspired by the medieval and fantasy universe.
2021-2025
In May 2021, the Dracolite family grew with the opening of a second store, this time in Old Terrebonne, in the Lanaudière region. Faced with growing demand, the medieval universe expanded into new territories.
Located in a peaceful corner, near Île-des-Moulins, this store offered a true journey back in time. With its warm atmosphere, the Terrebonne team welcomed visitors with open arms.
After five years of activity, this adventure concluded, leaving behind precious memories and a great contribution to the expansion of Dracolite.
