Passed down from generation to generation, his mysterious technique produced a blade of perfect edge, and the handle was made specifically for the one it was destined to. Many wished to buy these sabers, but the smith had a golden rule: only the worthy would be allowed to use the swords. Thus, only the purest of souls could pretend to the title of first owners of these swords, and all knew their names. This allowed the katanas, if stolen, to be found almost immediately.Workshop :
This new Calimacil katana includes the most important elements of the old one: the Calimacil foam, both extremely durable and safe. However, the katana now has a new, thinner blade, steel-coloured with silver accents. The handle is now white the wrappings are black for a contrasting look. Golden details such as the pommel have been added for a renewed realism.. This katana’s tsuba can be changed with any one of our other tsubas, so your sword can be truly unique. Who never heard of the feats of the Moerr Rekkr Raudr d’Odinn, the Glorious Red Warriors of Odin? Everywhere they ventured, their chief, Torfa the Just, inspired respect both by his knowledge and by his actions. Attributing his valiance to Odin, god of victory, Torfa the Just, an outstanding Hilmir*, trained his warriors to the handling of the two-handed sword personally. Clad in the traditional red tartan of their clan, a fur on their shoulder, and equipped with their two-handed sword, these braves lived for the glory of their name. No fight was declined, whether it was amical or mortal in nature, because it was to the challenger to announce his preference. The viking sword comes from the universe of Seyrawyn, creation of Martial Grisé and Maryse Pepin. This two-handed LARP sword features our newest blade. Steel-colored with silver accents, its unique S shape give a menacing look while remaining perfectly safe thanks to our Calimacil foam. The steel-colored handle is wrapped with leather-like brown foam and gives the sword a firm grip for a deadly reach and a great handling. The included guard can be removed for transport or to personalize even more the weapon. It is also stiff enough to deflect blows, but will bend enough to remain safe. Even though the sword has a deadly reach, it remains as safe as our other weapons and will withstand years of harsh combat situations. When the Renaissance began, warfare was entering a great era of changes. The upbringing of firearms made heavy armor less useful, and techniques adapted. The landskenechte were one of the most recognizable trained units because of their gear: mulit-coloured puffed sleeves, gigantic berets and some of the most iconic weapons of the time. Between lances and zweihanders, landskenechte all used a much shorter sword, whose guard aided in parrying: the Katzbalger. Worn without a scabbard, it could be drawn quickly when dire times came, like when their walls of lances were rendered inefficient. It's thanks to their great training, discipline and iconic gear, like the Katzbalger, that these military men are still remembered today.Workshop :
The Katzbager bring in view our new blade. This innovation has a better-defined point and sharper edges. However, as it is made of our famous Calimacil foam, it stays safe and extremely durable. Steel-coloured, the blade sits atop of a silver handle with tarnished gold details. A removable guard can be added, the same way as our katanas' tsubas, for an easier storage and diversity of use.Characters :
The Katzbalger sword absolutely must be part of historical reenactors' outfits, especially those of the Renaissance. Tragic heroes will appreciate its theatrical aspect, as will some fighters and duelists who's styles and panache can't be matched.
