    Description

The tanto, also referred to as a kaiken, was part of the traditional arsenal used by the Japanese samurai warriors and also for self-defence. This short latex blade is the perfect dagger equivalent for Japanese inspired characters, may they be sneaky ninjas, noble samurais, powerful shoguns, or adventurous ronins in LARP.

    Legend

The ashigarus stormed inside the wealthy samurai's home, quickly rummaging through personal affairs for loot and supplies. They were rogue soldiers, treacherous men-at-arms devolved into mere bandits. They knew the samurai was away, for it was he they abandoned when they deserted. His home must have seemed like the perfect target to raid. There were three of them, armed with spears and matchlock guns. They couldn't have picked a worse house to break in. In a storm of silk and flowing dark hair, the woman of the house jumped into the room. She had been stalking them since they entered the domain, slowly observing their movement while she was preparing her ambush. She was a noble wife of the samurai caste, an okugatasama, and it was her solemn duty to defend her home from these lowly thieves. Inside the walls of her home, their long polearms were clunky and cumbersome, while she was armed with a short tanto, the well-crafted blade nimble and deadly in her trained hands. She had been sparing with her sisters and her household's servants for years; she was no defenceless dove. The samurai wife nimbly dodged a spear trust from the most vigilant ashigaru before slipping past his reach and quickly ending him, striking the inside of his arm, past his breastplate. A crimson tide announced her she hit true, and she dived toward the next bandit, who was still fumbling with his gun, quickly giving up using the complicated black powder weapon to simply try to club her to death with the wooden shaft. She proved faster, and dodged low, striking the ankle before pushing him in the chest with her open hand, all her weight behind the strike. She watched him fall over and crawl helplessly in a puddle of his own making, too injured to stand. The last man stared at her a moment, hesitant, before abandoning his comrade and running out of the house, stuffing jewelry in his pockets as he escaped. The woman calmly leaned to grab the matchlock gun in her hand, and with a huntress's calm, she leaned the canon against a window frame, aiming and finishing what she started, a cloud of smoke partially hiding from her the collapsing body of the coward.

    Legend

I call upon the Wolf of the Ashen Gates, the Hound of the Void, the Howling Nightmare. I call upon the darkness of its eyes, the frost of its pelt, the hunger of its hearth. I invoke the ancient pact and share this prey with the jaws of the Abyss, so they can once again fuel the power in my veins. By the blood of this sacrifice, I summon thee, who I named, and bind thee to this realm through the vessel of my own body. In reward for this service, I relinquish dominion of my living shell for every new noon, so thee can run the earth, hunt, and gorge on souls and gore. By this blade, I seal this pact, may my strike open the gate through which I await thee coming.

    Legend

The bandit leader watched as a ridiculously small group returned from the caravan raid, all of them looking quite bloodied and very afraid. She was expecting some fear from her followers, but these dared return empty-handed, while they should know better than to disappoint her. This made no sense at all! Her scout had told her the caravan had almost no guards, only a few merchants and artisans travelling with riches and supplies. They were defenceless. Grabbing a haggard brigand by the collar, the increasingly angry leader asked for an explanation, and what she was given was a precious lesson about picking her targets. Sure, the caravan had no soldier and was indeed very wealthy, but that should have been a sign that there was more there than what simply met the eyes. The scout had failed to report the caravan was accompanied by an elf's couple, traders covered in flowing silk and shining silver. Apparently, those two were the reason no one bothered to hire guards. As soon as the attack began, they both jumped from their saddles and unsheathed pairs of long elven knives, fighting with the kind of speed and efficiency no one would expect from simple merchants. Of course, most merchants couldn't live a few centuries, but elves had this tendency of just acquiring skills over their long lifetime, and the bandit crew simply didn't stand a chance faced by this duo of experienced adventurers turned silk traders. That was a blunder this bandit gang would never truly recover from.

    Description

This fancy fantasy sword is inspired by Renaissance aesthetics and a perfect weapon for a duellist, fencer, battle bard, noble warrior, or swashbuckler in LARP. With a complex hilt that protects the fingers in combat, this foam weapon allows a more aggressive combat style for true musketeer prowess.

    Legend

A scarlet blur of swagger and panache, the dashing swashbuckler jumped from the balcony, landing on the shoulder of the statue of her Excellence the Empress herself, a good fifteen feet above the ground. Around the monument, palace courtiers and festive diplomats were laughing and clapping at the display of skill, convinced they just witnessed the surprise show of an impromptu acrobat. They quickly realized it wasn't exactly a planned event when a group of ironclad imperial guards reached the balcony, huffing and puffing under their plate armour. As they tried to strike the crimson outlaw with their halberds, it became clear this sword-bearing newcomer was some sort of intruder. Not losing a second, the nimble outlaw kissed goodbye to the armed guard before jumping from the statue's shoulder, using the stone Empress exaggerated dress rump as a ramp before landing with a pirouette in the middle of the assembly. Up on the balcony, the guards were pushed aside by a red-faced and outraged Empress, dishevelled as she just got out of bed. She screamed in anger and injured ego: ''How dare you?! No one refuses the Empress! Arrest this ungrateful scoundrel!'' She ordered, spurring a few prideful nobles to draw their rapier and attempt to stop the nimble fleeing fencer. Apologizing in advance, the swashbuckler freed a long fencing dagger and a matching arming sword, before methodically destroying both the nobles' ego and their fancy clothes as they bit the dust, uninjured but out of commission. With a taunting reverence, the agile duellist turned toward the Empress and screamed, a giggle in the voice; ''I am quite sorry my dear, but I prefer to go with no strings attached. I am sure you will find another pretty face to join your so-called musketeers''. And with a stunning smile, the adventurous insolent escaped through the gardens, leaving the Empress dealing with a small court scandal on top of her bruised pride.

    Description

The soldier sword is a versatile weapon that can suit a large array of fantasy characters in LARP. Its classic medieval design makes it a great choice for a first purchase, as it can be used for many themes, but its dark color can also make it a good pick for more sinister concepts. This longsword will be best used for more humble characters in low fantasy LARP settings, such as guards, men-at-arms, mercenaries, or simple infantrymen. Its dark color can also make it a suitable weapon for dark elves, demons, and undead characters.

    Legend

On the tenth night of the siege, the attackers revealed their true colours. Until now, they had attacked only in small skirmishes, climbing walls at various points to test the defenders' numbers and to spot any weakness. But on that fateful night, they unleashed a full-scale assault, showing to the castle inhabitants that they had colluded with a goblin horde to flesh out their army before the attack. Using goblin mercenaries was a clear sign of infamy, for the nasty little creatures were known cannibals, and thus would often deny an honourable surrender to the defenders. By hiring them, the attackers were aiming for a quick victory, the monster providing a clear numerical advantage, and the useful capacity to climb stone walls without any siege equipment. However, their plan backfired horribly. At the first sight of the goblins, panic quickly spread among the denizens of Castle Valdemar. Everyone knew such a horde meant assured death for them all... if they managed to take the castle. As the walls were getting overwhelmed and breached at many points by the green tide, a mismatched troop of stalwart defenders emerged from the lord's armoury, clad in ill-sized armors and wielding mass-produced swords meant for levied troops. They were blacksmiths, stonemasons, apprentices, stable boys, maids, even scribes. Many had seen too many seasons, or too few, but spurred on by desperation, the brave mob swarmed across the wavering defences, helping the struggling guards and knights fend off the attack. By the next morning, the humiliated goblin horde, untrustworthy at their best, had abandoned the enemy camp, leaving with all their employer's supplies in the process. The siege was over. won by the valiant effort of those who picked up a sword and fought for survival.

    Description

This elegant Arabian dagger is a latex reproduction of a kandjar knife, a weapon used both for combat and as a sign of status. With its intricate finish and iconic curved blade, this short dagger is a great weapon for any noble such as a sultan, emir or vizir, but can also be carried by rogues, sorcerers, merchants and travellers in LARP.

    Legend

The young prince was nervously waiting inside the throne room as his father was meeting with diplomats and nobles from across the kingdom. All of them were looking weary and anxious, for the Emir, his father, was a death's door, ravaged by an illness even the court physicians couldn't heal. With the old Emir's departure, the kingdom was facing a succession crisis, for seven princes had claim to the throne, all equal in status and rank, seniority being of little concern by the law if it wasn't followed by the blessing of the monarch. The Emir already refused to promise the crown to his eldest son earlier this day, increasing the uncertainty and the likelihood of seeing the nation decay into factionalism and civil war. But, at the last hour, with the sickly man almost collapsing on his large cushioned chair, he raised a thin hand and summoned his youngest son, the prince, to move forward. So young was this prince he wasn't even considered an adult yet, for he still had to receive the ceremonial dagger marking his passage to maturity. In a gesture overflowing with symbolism, the dying Emir declared with a solemn voice that his last wish was to see his youngest become a man before he left for his last journey. Reaching for his belt, the old man unsheathed his curved Kandjar dagger, offering it to his youngest. Not only was that the Emir's blade, but the ornamented dagger had been passed from generation to generation between most recorded Emir. It was deeply connected to the crown, meaning that the young prince was now the heir apparent, even without it being explicitly said by the Emir. Even if the kind monarch couldn't push himself to pick a child and raise him above the rest, he, at last, averted a feud over his title by blessing one of his sons.
