The founder of Dragon King, Frenchie Jin, was inspired at an early age by the Lone Wolf and Cub series, which ignited his passion for swords. In homage to his hero, Dragon King faithfully recreates Ogami Itto's katana with a functional, forged blade.
Simple yet powerful in design, the blackened abalone mother-of-pearl guard (tsuba) stands out with its contrast to the polished fuchi and kashira, engraved with Japanese dogwood flowers. The tsuka is wrapped in black cotton over white same (ray skin), adorned with silver dragon-shaped menuki. The 28 3/8” forged blade is housed in a ribbed black saya, fitted with a silver-colored steel kojiri engraved with the matching floral motif. The black buffalo horn koiguchi and kurikata, along with the black sageo, complete this sheath. A silver-colored kozuka, a small blade engraved with the same floral motif, is also included.
