Axes & Maces

  • Legend :

Can you feel the earth moving, young one? Hold this impressive hammer in your hands and you'll see what I mean. It's heavy, I know, but it's for a purpose: the two ram heads are unique symbols, identifying you as a guardian of the land of Aezur. For many years before you, warriors, trackers and even some magicians have used this hammer to fight and repel invaders. It’s not called The Warrior for nothing: soon you’ll see the sky is shaking too. See the runes on the handles? They represent the family ties between our two viking gods, the father and the son: Tyr, god of justice, and Lonnar, guardian of nature's secrets. Soon you’ll be able to wield it like a true defender, and you’ll always remember where you’re from, even if you run astray. Now hold it high above you, and take heed of the powers you’ve been given.

    Workshop :

This hammer was born from the imagination of Martial Grisé when he created the Seyrawyn universe, and raised by the master craftmen at Calimacil. Such a complex and intricate piece is a first for us with un-sword-like pieces, but as you can see, the result is stunning! Soft enough for hard-hitting but as durable as our classic swords, this hammer’s two ram heads give an amazing profile to the engraved middle piece. Moreover, this royal hammer has the perfect length to give you a head-start with any combat situation... Complete with a suede leather covering on the handle, an emerald-type foam gem on top and runes on each side of the ring around the grip, Lonnar’s hammer is truly a grand novelty in Calimacil’s forge.

    Character :

Richly adorned yet heavily brutal, this marvelous combination suits a great variety of characters, whether it’s a high priest fighting for his God, a dwarf-king bringing his kin deeper in the mountains, or the leader of a barbarian horde starving to put this hammer through the heads of a few usurping lords.

  • Legend :

Siege was upon us. Year after year, our stockpile of food was shrinking, and our morale followed. However, the worst news was our iron stockpile. After quite some time forging new heavy maces our soldiers used to break through the enemy's armour, we had almost none left, and going on the battlefield to scavenge some weapons was suicidal. That's when Pierre le Grand had a strange idea. All listened. He said we should make star-shaped maces, that would take much less iron to forge. Their points would pass through the enemy's armour, while the weight of the weapon would do the rest of the job. We tried it, and to everyone's surprise, it worked. The enemy, waiting for our surrender, was amazed at our will to fight, so much that their troops lost the will to hold a city that was as stubborn as us. We got peace, and these maces became the symbol of our city, of our will.

    Workshop :

This new historical mace combines a wooden handle with a steel-coloured head. The whole weapon, and of course the spikes, are made of Calimacil foam, making it exceptionally durable and safe, for years of realistic fighting. Graceful despite its simplicity, this mace can be wielded by anyone, masters and newcomers alike.

This weapons can be used by a almost any character. • Legend :

The vow of peace is the pride of our religious order. Behind our tall walls, deep within the city, far from those hordes of monstrous creatures, this is rarely a problem for the majority of our brothers. However, I’m the messenger, and thus am required to travel far from home, to lands quite less peaceful and more dangerous. I must be armed. It took months to convince Father Gregory to let me go with more than a simple walking stick. The sacred texts told that we could not draw blood. That’s why the bludgeoning mace was the weapon of choice. It was enough to deter thieves and some malevolent creatures, but the most important aspect is that it let me stay alive and I was able to keep my place in Heaven.

    Workshop :

This mace is the requested new version of the black Odo. The same length as the original one (81 cm), this version proudly shows new colours: the head is of used steel while the handle is brown for an unrivaled realism. Always made from the very safe Calimacil foam, this weapon will stay safe for years or battle and use.

    Characters :

This weapon is perfectly adapted to the clergy who made a solemn vow not to draw blood. However, it is also great for everyone who has a less noble heart and for those that do not wish or have the capacity to use swords, like bloodthirsty brutes, dumb trolls and highwaymen. After all, no need for strenuous training: you only need to lift high and strike hard.

  • Legend :

As the world was coming to what seemed like its end, there was not much survivors could still rely on. Food was scarce, safe shelter hard to find, and trusted partners were a long forgotten fantasy. The only remaining thing that could be trusted was the lumbering horde chasing everything and anything still moving. As he was climbing the steps of this old building, he heard wild noises erupting in the room he just left. He had been followed, he had been found. And he didn't have anything to fight with. That was until his gaze went to his left, to a wooden case with a glass panel at the front. Through the dirt and gore caking it, he could make out the words "In case of emergency break the glass". Getting his prize out of its long resting place, he realized there was something else that could be relied on: A good ol' fireman axe.

    Workshop :

Another great iconic piece from the zombie collection, this LARP weapon is an amazing fireman's axe. The head's finish, reminding of pock marks, has a very realistic look. The whole axe was painted in a lot of details, for a stunning authentic looking result. Made with our safest Calimacil foam, it will remain safe for years of use.

    Character :

A lot of survivalist from the Zombie apocalypse will be naturally drawn to the fireman's axe. Easy to wield, easy to find, and no ammo required. Naturally, firemen and lumberjacks will also like the natural feel of this weapon.

  • Legend :

How do you think that we, the Swiss people, were able to keep the peace in our lands, free from invaders and wars, through all the scarring conflicts of the Renaissance? While the French were fighting with straight swords, and southerners with curved ones, we had a great advantage: their blades never reached their foes. Our halberds kept the best knights at bay, and a simple battle formation could stop the most persistent riders. The solution was really that simple. Put a longer shaft behind the blade, and you’ll stay alive longer. With our halberds, we will surely be able to keep the peace in our lands for centuries to come!

    Workshop :

Calimacil’s halberd head gets revamped! Safe as always with its almost indestructible foam, softer than regular Calimacil weapons, its appearance becomes more realistic than ever, with a forged metal texture and steel-coloured blade. Some silver highlights complete the illusion. This version is always mounted on a 138cm halberd staff. Special thanks to Drakuler Dragon who suggested this name on our Facebook page.

    Characters :

Bodyguards and militiamen alike will like the halberd as a social and military status, and wise fighters will be able to keep their enemies at bay with its reach. Moreover, every armed garrison wanting to battle knights would be smart to use those weapons, as they are perfect to stop any charge and horse.

  • Legend :

As he was riding across the arid plains, he could start to smell the saltiness fill the air. They were certainly closer to the sea, and would soon reach their target. Looking at his axe, fixed on the saddle, he couldn’t help but relish in the adrenaline coursing through his veins thinking of the battle to come. They would conquer this great city, and they would finally lay low their enemy. Sure, the battle would only be the first of many of this great siege, but deep down, he could feel that they were about to change the way things were. Constantinople would fall!

    Workshop :

  • Legend :

A few hundred years ago, our country was peaceful. Everything came to a stop once we were attacked by the southerners. In front of their armies, our lumberjacks couldn't defend themselves, let alone the land and its riches. We knew how to wield our axes like they were part of us, but without defenses, our numbers fell quickly. Then a simple solution came: make a longer handle. There was no need for defensive gear because we were out of reach of their swords, and we still could use our traditional tools. Nowadays, centuries after these events, we have refined our war tactics, our weapons, and we are again at peace. The nearby countries know that if they try anything against us, each and every man and woman of our land will be ready for them, axe in hands.

    Workshop :

This new LARP axe uses, as a handle, the popular wooden staff, while the steel-coloured head displays a golden cross. The weapon, created in collaboration with Les Armuriers d'Atlantide, is extremely realistic, and with the help of Calimacil foam, it is safe and durable. It will provide years of joy and epic battles without any damage or injury. Special thanks to Kelly McCray who suggested the name on our Facebook page.

Armies should always have at least a company of axemen because, behind some shields, they will win wars.

  • Legend :

In old-Norse, ‘Krieger‘ is the name given to fierce warriors that have seen and survived many battles. This Viking axe displays symbolism of the wolf, distinguishing itself by its unique style and for what it represents. This axe made its first appearance in the hands of a group of Viking veterans on a distant island called Arisan. The rumours concerning theses axes were that they had been especially enchanted to be Wolfsegen, special talismans known to grant power over wolves and werewolves. Wether or not these are just legends, when you do meet a group of guards of the great Jarl, a wandering skald or even just one Viking with a Krieger in his possession, I can only offer you one piece of advice: stay wary, as this may be your last battle! Such is the reputation of this fabulous weapon!

    Workshop :

The Krieger axe features a steel head with a celtic wolf engraved. The black handle imitates leather for a firm grip, while the pommel is shaped like the head of an incredibly detailed dire wolf. The whole axe is made of our unique Calimacil foam, so it will stay safe even after countless battles!

    Character :

Celtic warriors will appreciate the design of this axe as well as its use as a tool. Many druids, shapeshifters and barbarians may use this weapon as it will bring them closer to their animal side. Finally, due to its intricate details and fine engravings, this axe can be used as a ceremonial piece, or as a gift to a foreign ruler as a sign of peace.
